Nutritionists condemn bad eating habits combined with an increasingly sedentary lifestyle. They think that current diets are too rich in animal fats, saturated fats and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
This nutritional imbalance, characterised by an excess of calories and lack of dietary vitamins minerals and fibres is the cause of chronic illnesses.
Nutritionists recommend rebalancing the fat content and reducing the consumption of saturated fatty acids by a quarter in adopting a diet which, like the Mediterranean diet, prefers olive oil to other fats thus avoiding this situation |
